ACV or Actual Cost Value, is the RCV or Replacement Cost Value minutes depreciation. Currently the way things are done is that a company gets paid the ACV until they prove that they have completed the desired work, typically with assigned Certificate of Satisfaction, at which time they are able to receive the full RCV. The only exception to this is roofing projects here in the US.
We currently only bring in the ACV amount, which is not what most companies use when it comes to Job Costing. The current solution for this is to add in a manual estimate for the amount of the Estimate.
